Savage, MN: BHS students grab spots in international science competitions

A group of students from Burnsville High School will be traveling to two different science competitions in May after they succeeded in a regional contest.

Sophomore Hannah Holmstrom, 16, of Savage, will be going to the International Sustainable World Energy, Engineering, Environment Project Olympiad (ISWEEP) in Los Angeles, California. Junior Claire Wentzlaff, 17, of Savage, will be attending the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Houston, Texas. Alternates Connor Van Dorpe and Braxton Kukulka, both 18-year-old seniors from Burnsville, will be going to ISEF as well. Both competitions are in May.

All students are excited for the chance to compete on a larger scale after presenting at the Twin Cities Regional Science Fair.
